Turkey Gala Dinner

Bailliage of Antalya

With the ever-increasing number of five star hotels in the Antalya region, the members of the local Bailliage are having the pleasure of witnessing an ongoing unofficial competition. Executive Chefs of the hosts of Chaîne dinner events among these hotels, who are eager and excited to showcase their culinary excellence, are providing our members with a vast variety of event venues, and wide range of excellent local and international dishes.



The latest of these events was an amazing end-of-year Gala Dinner attended by some seventy members and guests at the Baia Lara Beach Hotel.

The evening began with a cocktail reception at which a selection of alcoholic beverages, accompanied with a variety of cold and hot canapés were served.



Participants then proceeded to the ballroom for the eight course dinner. Especially created and composed by the hotel's Executive Chef, Chef Rôtisseur Selim Kansu, for this occasion the menu was presented in an excellent, trendy way.

Seafood trio
smoked salmon, seared scallops and shrimp mousse

Foie gras pâté

with baked apple, Port wine jelly and caramelised sugar beet



Duck breast flavoured with Mediterranean herbs and Cointreau
risotto with morels, buttered goji berries’ sauce
orange, raisins and Parmesan crisps

Consommé with mini ravioli stuffed with goose

Pan-seared black cod



Melon sorbet

Suckling lamb loin fillet


‘Dessert symphony’
Chocolate tower filled with rosehip bread pudding on caramelised pineapple
Rivani with milk
Malibu-flavoured meringue filled with pumpkin and walnuts, served with red berry sauce

With the exception of the dessert, these delicious and beautifully-presented dishes were paired with a selection of prime Turkish wines.



Bailli Tunç Uluc thanked the kitchen and service brigades for their outstanding food and excellent service on this the first time the Bailliage had dined at their establishment. He presented these brigades with Bailliage of Turkey Certificates of Recognition and the hotel management with a Bailliage of Turkey Commemorative Plaque in appreciation of their excellent hospitality overall.



It was a memorable event, a wonderful occasion to bid farewell to 2013 and welcome 2014.
