Netherlands AGM Lunch

A new take on future planning

So that we could reflect on what the future might hold for the Chaîne in the Netherlands, our Annual General Meeting at the Hotel Huis Ter Duin included a presentation by Chargé de Missions Jan van Os.

In it Jan invited all members to share their experiences among their friends and on social networks as well as new plans with gourmet magazines and a professional contest which both need to be prepared more in detail.

After the meeting, we had lunch in the hotel’s Michelin 1-star Restaurant Latour looking over the sea on a beautiful day.

The members were truly spoiled with a menu bringing elements from the winter and the spring, in surprising combinations:

- Marinated tuna, black garlic anchovies and chorizo
   Riesling Altenkirch ‘Feinherb’ – Rheingau, Germany

- Fried cod, saté herbs and cocos
   Selection Huis ter Duin Blanc – Languedoc, France

- Pan-cooked entrecôte with a shallot sauce

   Malbec Punto Final – Mendoza, Argentina

- Carrot, ginger and Bergamot orange

- Coffee and Tea

The wines matched the dishes perfectly. The service was impeccable.

The Restaurant Latour kitchen and service brigades were thanked with well-deserved applause.
