Liechtenstein Dinner

‘Festa Italiana’ was the theme of this convivial dinner at the speciality Italian ‘Ristorante Leonardo’ with Maître Restaurateur Pino Mascoli and his wife Marlène.

Members and guests from Liechtenstein mingled with visitors from abroad whilst sipping an excellent Prosecco, savouring pedigree prosciutto di San Daniele and generally enjoying a splendid summer evening in the restaurant’s gardens with plenty of ‘italianita’.



On the menu were the finest Italian specialities, including:

- Plump scallops topped with chopped marinated tomatoes

- Carne cruda alla piemontese

- Orecchiette with Trifolati chanterelles

- Swordfish steak with lemony olive oil


These delicious dishes and more besides were accompanied by renowned wines – naturally all from Italy – specially selected by Pino. NB. The restaurant’s wine cellar and its contents are indeed well worth a visit on their own!



On behalf of the Bailliage, Conseiller Gastronomique Dominic Brühwiler thanked the staff for creating an exceptional, mouth-watering dinner and said he hoped he would be able to invite everyone to another such ‘Festa Italiana’ next year.

This time it was not ‘Vive la Chaîne!’ but ‘Viva la cucina italiana!’
