Sri Lanka Gastronomic Dinner

Chef Rôtisseur Rohan Fernandopulle, now General Manager of Waters Edge, was the perfect host to 80 members and their guests as they enjoyed an amazing culinary journey created by visiting French Chef Florent Boivin.



Uniquely situated amidst an eco-environment Waters Edge is a leading meetings, conference and exhibition venue in the suburbs of Colombo, Sri Lanka’s capital city.

Boasting rich experience in French haute-cuisine, Chef Florent Boivin – a Meilleur Ouvrier de France (MOF) – lectures full-time at the Institute Paul Bocuse in Lyon, France.



The exceptional food and excellent wines as paired with each course were complemented by service standards worthy of special comment.

Working with the Waters Edge kitchen brigade, headed by Executive Chef Buddhika Samarasekara, Chef Boivin presented a menu of French-inspired culinary excellence which will not be easily surpassed in the Bailliage’s calendar of events.

Executive Chef Buddhika is himself well known for his culinary prowess, having fittingly represented Sri Lanka at the Bocuse d’Or 2013 in Lyon.



Adding to the ambience of the occasion was the soft background music provided by the ever popular Ricky Bahar.
