The Chaîne is very active in Curaçao! In September the Bailliage had an excellent opportunity for meat lovers to enjoy the cuisine at CRU Steakhouse where the motto is ‘utterly uncompromised pure flavour every time - enjoy a steak of distinction’.


An ‘Aperol Spritz’ aperitif was served on the terrace. This spritz is undoubtedly the most widespread and commonly drunk aperitif in Italy. Popularly made from three parts of Prosecco, two parts of Aperol and a splash of soda, it is a traditional ice-breaker and stimulator of a lively atmosphere.



The atmosphere was certainly convivial especially with musical entertainment by Igor Rivas. The menu for the most enjoyable dinner which followed was:

Amuse
Crisp goat’s cheese with garnish

Appetizer
Lobster chowder with a touch of Cognac Otard
Chardonnay, Cathedral Cellars, K.W.V., South Africa

Greens
Garden greens with scallions, herbs and balsamic vinaigrette

Main Dish
Roasted prime rib carved in front of guests
with rosemary, fresh green asparagus and Lyonnaise potatoes
Lodi Old Zinfandel, Ravenswood, Napa Valley, U.S.A.

Dessert
Homemade ‘lava’ of vanilla with vanilla cream



CRU Steakhouse is highly regarded as an excellent steakhouse & wine bar. The members and guests thoroughly enjoyed the roasted prime rib, expertly cooked according to the traditions of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs. The powerful Napa Valley Zinfandel was the perfect partner for the beautiful meat.
