Consul General of Spain in Miami inducted at 'Taste of Spain' event

Bailliage of Greater Miami members and guests gathered at Bulla Gastrobar for an Induction Dinner filled with merriment and surprises.

Bulla, Spanish for chatter or what people are talking about, is known for its sophisticated Spanish and Catalan small plates. Each delicious course was perfectly paired with wines from Bodegas Emilio Moro. Representing the Moro family was twenty-one year old Alberto Moro, a fourth generation vintner, who captivated the audience with his knowledge of oenology.




Our Taste of Spain began with a reception on the terrace with expansive views of the Coral Gables skyline. Members and guests nibbled on delectable pass-arounds and sipped 2013 Cepa 21 Hito Rosado, Tinto Fino, Ribera del Duero.

In the dining room, autumn colours of orange and gold permeated the decor, menus and centrepieces.




During the dinner, while guests enjoyed the sorbet intermezzo, Bailli Nancy Radlauer announced that everyone was to witness a rare, history-in-the-making, induction. Cristina Barrios, Consul General of Spain in Miami, took centre stage and was ceremonially inducted as a Grand Officier d’Honneur by Bailli Provincial Southeast Charles Radlauer.



Prior to the dessert being served Bailli Nancy Radlauer presented Alberto Moro with a special expression of gratitude for travelling from Spain to present his family’s memorable wines.

Bringing the evening to a close, to rapturous applause Carlos Centurion, owner of Bulla, and his staff were acknowledged for an unforgettable dinner.
