Celebrating 20 years of the Chaîne in Lebanon

Bailli Délégué Arlette Mabardi was honoured that President Yam Atallah and Said Sawalha, Bailli Délégué of Jordan, accepted her invitation to come to Beirut to participate in the celebration of 20 years of the Chaîne in Lebanon.

Equally rewarding – and certainly enhancing the international status of the event – was the presence of Chaîne members and their guests from Jordan, France and Switzerland.

On the Thursday local members and international visitors toured the souks of Byblos in the morning and later in the day had a very pleasant dinner at Restaurant Em Sherif. On the Friday there was a wine tasting and lunch at Ksara. Saturday morning saw a visit to the National Museum.

Naturally the highpoint of the programme was the Saturday evening Gala Induction Event at the Hôtel Le Gray. First was the ceremony during which new members and those being promoted received their insignia from President Atallah.

The Gala Dinner that followed was in the hotel’s ‘Indigo on the Roof Restaurant’ with its fine views over the Beirut skyline.

caramel hazelnuts, passion fruit sorbet




Elegance and refinement were the bywords for this celebratory event, especially so for the Gala evening.
