The International Jeunes Chefs Rôtisseurs Competition defines its mission as being “to encourage and promote the culinary expertise of young chefs in the tradition of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs by exposing them to a competitive environment with their peers. This competition will offer the opportunity for the Jeunes Chefs to showcase their talents and creativity in an international arena.”

To reach the international final, regional and national competitions are organised in a manner consistent with the rules of the international competition. This ensures the greatest chance of success for competitors reaching the international level.

As part of the National Bailliage of Australia’s bid to host the 2017 International Final in Perth, Western Australia, the local Bailliage in the State enterprisingly prepared a video featuring their 2015 regional final to ‘sell’ hosting the final in 2017 to potential sponsors and other supporters.

The stated goal of the Jeunes Chefs Rôtisseurs Competition is to encourage the cultural differences in food presentation and preparation using a traditional approach. The video amply demonstrates that this principle is alive and well in Western Australia!
