The Bailliage of Belgium's 2012 National Final of the Jeunes Chefs Rôtisseurs Competition was held at the CERIA-Gryzon Institute in Anderlecht.
The winner was Maxime Colin from the Restaurant Vintage at Watermael-Boitsfort. In September he will represent the Bailliage at the International Final in Berlin.

Below are photos of three other competitors (from left to right) ... Adam Kuzmienko of C.E.R.I.A-Gryson, Vincent Van Isterdael of the Institut de la Providence Wavre, and Jérémy Jooskens of Hôtel Dolce-la Hulpe.
The guideline for the first course was to create a dish based on oysters and scallops. The main course tested the skill of cooking a saddle of rabbit and the dessert needed to be themed on crêpes Suzette. Below are the winning dishes prepared by Maxime Colin.

The competition was followed by a Gala Dinner hosted by the family Gersdorff at the Restaurant la Plage d'Amée at Jambes. More than 60 people, professionals and gastronomes alike acclaimed the winner at the award ceremony. Afterwards they enjoyed the excellent dishes prepared with real passion by Chef Benoît Gersdorff and his team. Magnificent!
We would like to thank much the Gersdorff family for the beautiful meal. We also thank our much appreciated sponsors: Spadel, Clément, Nestlé Professional, Metro Group Belgium, ISPC, Oceanmarée and the Restaurant Château Mylord for the food used during the competition, the gifts for the competitors and for the water at the Gala Dinner.
Last but not least, our grateful appreciation goes to CERIA-Gryzon for their help and hospitality.
