Asparagus Dinner
The restaurant and catering company “Le Rondeau” has been open for 30 years, inviting you to come and enjoy the fantastic food it has to offer. Owner and Chef Jean-Paul Ochem (President of the Fédération Luxembourgeoise des Maîtres-traiteurs) has been cooking up a storm for 44 years and is a member of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs.
Jean-Paul will certainly guarantee you a warm welcome. At the top of his game he will not fail to surprise you with real flavours and delicious dishes.
During the week, you can enjoy a “Plaisir” menu for lunch or dinner. What is more, his catering service is excellent for any kind of event.
Many members attended the dinner, including a new generation (the children of the Linster family).
The sparkling wines enjoyed during the aperitif were provided by the Caves Jean Schlink in Machtum. We then tucked in to a delicious dinner that highlighted the charms of the asparagus:
A plate of asparagus appetisers Cod fillet with green asparagus in a Comté gratin
Cream of asparagus soup with shrimps Asparagus sorbet with liqueur
Duo of white and green asparagus with cured and cooked Fresh goat’s cheese with wild asparagus, coppa
ham served with hollandaise and Flemish sauce and balsamic vinegar
Dessert
All the dishes were incredibly original and perfectly presented, and Mr Ochem gave fascinating explanations about how they had been prepared.
