Denmark Dinner

Rungsted Havn. May 11, 2012

The Bailliage of Selandia maintained its active programme of events by holding a dinner at Brasserie Nokken with beautiful views over the Øresund.

Owners, Teit Meier Hansen and family, together with Chef Tim Rosenvinge, prepared an excellent evening for us. We were welcomed with appetisers served with Louis Bouillot Cremant de Bourgogne Rosé.

For the dinner that followed, we started with White asparagus with mousseline sauce, chervil and lumpfish roe. A 2010 Palliser Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand was the perfect partner. The main course was Slow-roasted lamb culotte accompanied by a deliciously smooth 2008 Artadi Tempranillo from Spain.

There followed Baked Tallegio cheese on toasted rye with fig confit. A 2010 Mount Langi Riesling from Australia made for intriguing pairing. To conclude the delightful menu came Crème brûlée with white chocolate … and an excellent 2008 Apetlon Trockenbeerenauslese from Austria.

Once again, the Bailliage had enjoyed a convivial evening accompanied by excellent food and wine.
