Chaîne des Rôtisseurs

Al Ain Chapitre

April 13, 2012

Our Chapitre was held this year at the Hilton Al Ain situated in the city’s Al Sarood District.

Jeremy Weeks, Member of the Conseil Magistral from Abu Dhabi, presided over the Induction Ceremony as the appointed representative of President Yam Atallah.

The Gala Dinner to celebrate the inductions, awards and promotions was themed on a First Class menu served aboard RMS Titanic on her fateful maiden voyage across the Atlantic Ocean a century ago almost to the day of the Chapitre.

We dined in a luxurious style befitting the Titanic’s First Class passengers on a menu which comprised:

- Atlantic lobster with duck liver parfait topped with caviar,
accompanied by an artichoke salad with Champagne-saffron vinaigrette

- Consommé Olga with seared sea scallops

- Punch romaine sherbet

- Veal medallions with Calvados sauce, truffled purple potato,
asparagus tips loaded with tamarillo compote

- Millefeuille of chocolate with fresh berries, chocolate painted eclairs
   and fresh vanilla cream

In conclusion, special thanks are due to Jeremy Weeks for once again presiding over the Induction Ceremony with due aplomb; to  Maître Hôtelier Adham Sebeay, General Manager – Hilton Al Ain; and to Mikael Petersson, the Hilton Al Ain’s Operations Manager, for preparing the stunning Titanic-themed venue.
