Monaco Dinner

The Monte Carlo Bay Hotel provided the setting for a food-tasting experience showcasing Monacan cuisine.

The new Bailli Délégué, Gérard Canarie, had invited Michelin-starred Executive Chef Marcel Ravin, to showcase some of the Principality’s typical dishes.



After a Champagne aperitif, with Barbagiuan and panisse appetisers, all the members present were given the opportunity to discover and enjoy salt cod cannelloni, guinea fowl with olives and Monacan tian, served with a range of wines from Côtes de Provence. An exquisite cherry dessert, called “Port Hercule”, was, almost literally, the cherry on the cake!



As we ate, the international quartet, “Sax Appeal” provided a musical accompaniment of traditional jazz and bebop.

As the evening came to a close, the Chef presented signed copies of his book “D’un Rocher à l’Autre” which describes the passion for cooking that drives him.

The beauty and tranquillity of the venue also served to remind everyone present of the true philosophy of the Chaîne: a gastronomic network of friendship and culinary excellence, giving us the opportunity to meet other people who share the same passion for fine food and promoting the quality of wine and food with other like-minded members.
