France Dinner

Bailliage of Paris/Île-de France

It was with much delight that we organised this dinner at the Hôtel Méridien (Boulevard Gouvion Saint Cyr) to coincide with a visit to Paris by 21 members from the Bailliage of San Antonio (Texas, USA).



It was an event in the finest Chaîne traditions of gastronomy and camaraderie.

The welcoming reception set the tone for the evening with everyone getting to know each other over a glass of Champagne or a Kir Royal, both accompanied by an enticing selection of amuses-bouches.



The menu was simple yet full of interest:

Terrine de queue de bœuf en gelée farcie au foie gras
Château Minuty, Côtes de Provence Blanc

Filet de canettes et son jus, pommes dauphinoises
poêlé de champignons et oignons grelots

Côtes du Rhône Rouge, Maison Guigal Rouge

Surprise au chocolat et mandarine
Sphère au chocolat garnie de crème à la mandarine,
et mandarine fraîche, crumble, sorbet et jus


Café ou Thé et ses Mignardises

After the event Bailli Vivian Ray wrote: “It was a pleasure meeting you and the members of the Bailliage of Paris/Île de France at the delightful dinner. Thank you for the welcome. It made us feel right at home. Our members were very pleased to meet and spend time with all of you. I am looking forward to hosting all of you in the near future in our city.”
