Turkey - Swiss˘tel The Bosphorous

One of the premier, most luxurious hotels in Istanbul

Swissôtel the Bosphorus is the "meeting point" within Istanbul society. The hotel, as a member of the Leading Hotels of the World, is one of the premier, most luxurious hotels in Istanbul. Over the years it has received various accolades and awards.

Swissôtel the Bosphorus celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2011. Ever since its opening in June 1991, the hotel has been well known for its passion for perfection, being a ‘home away from home’ for so many, even for the locals!

It is the place where you feel the warmth of its personnel right from the doorman who greets you at the main entrance with a big smile, up to the General Manager who is always around greeting his guests, many of whom he knows by name. It is the place where one always enjoys excellent hospitality and receives consistent quality and personal service.

Swissôtel the Bosphorus has a long track record with the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs ever since the foundation of the Bailliage of Turkey. In fact the hotel hosted the launch of the Bailliage in June 1994 and its first General Manager, Edward Spek, was eventually to become the second Bailli Délégué.

Since then, over the last 17 years, the hotel has hosted several Grands Chapitres and numerous excellent Chaîne dinner events.

Its current General Manager, Gerhard Struger, Officier Maître Hôtelier, is one of very few hoteliers in Turkey who strongly support and often sponsor a whole variety of Chaîne activities.

Chaîne members at the Swissôtel the Bosphorus are:
General Manager - Gerhard Struger[1], Officier Maître Hôtelier
Director of Operations - Christian Hirt, Maître Hôtelier
Banquet Sales Manager - Feyza Yuzgat, Dame de la Chaîne

The hotel is located in the centre of the European side of Istanbul within a secluded residential quarter close to the business districts. Situated on a wooded hilltop, the hotel commands fantastic panoramic views of the Bosphorus, Asian coast and old city of Istanbul. It stands in the former gardens of the Dolmabahce Palace, once the residence of the Ottoman Sultans. Today, the hotel certainly upholds this regal ancestry with a standard of service that is legendary in its own right.
