India Lunch

Bailliage of Goa - Ashwem, January 29, 2012

Personally supervised by the two partners of the new Coros by the Sea Restaurant, this lunch was a brilliant opportunity to showcase their new venture in the north of Goa to culinary experts and a discerning clientele.

 

At their elegant new premises decorated in white and blue with flower corsages and located right on Morjim Beach at the edge of the pristine coastal waters of the Arabian Sea, Maître Rôtisseur Conrad Coutinho and Chef de Table Rovino Rodrigues welcomed 28 members and their guests, including Bailli Délégué elect, Anja Matysik-Kroll, with sparkling wine and amuse bouche.



Lunch itself comprised a light four-course menu:

Melon with Parma ham and strawberry jelly

Grilled sea-fresh prawns


Premium Tenderloin of Beef
or
Sea Bass with lentil and chorizo casserole
or
Lasagna drizzled with a tomato pesto

Dessert Medley
Miniature New York Cheese Cake, Chocolate Mousse, Carrot Halva (an Indian speciality) and Chocolate-dipped strawberry

Chef Coutinho’s signature dishes were well paired with Italian and Australian wines.

A convivial atmosphere prevailed throughout this memorable event, so much so that several guests pledged to become members.
