Hungary Dinner

Margarete Vetter, a long-time-member of the Bailliage of Hungary, welcomed members, their partners and guests to her Restaurant Vadrózsa  (Wild Rose), where she and her staff have helped guests realise their wishes for almost 40 years.

The restaurant is a charming, elegant, baroque style building located on the Rose Hill, in one of the most beautiful residential area of Budapest is always a guarantee for a successful event. As one might expect, Vadrózsa has received many awards and accolades and has good Michelin Guide and Gault & Millau ratings.



Prof. Dr. med. Friedrich Rentsch, Bailli of Baden-Schwarzwald (Germany), and his Hungarian-born wife were our distinguished guests on this summer evening.

In view of the very pleasent weather, pre-dinner drinks were served in the garden.

The seven-course dinner followed in the picturesque Panorama Salon. Once again, the restaurant’s talented young chef, Dániel Horváth, and his brigade treated us to excellent food. The perfect selection of matching Hungarian high quality wines more than lived up to the expectation of the members. The service brigade’s professional, smooth service was highly appreciated.

Pleasant unobtrusive background piano music for over five hours without a break contributed to the special atmosphere. The evergreen melodies and golden oldies were a delight for all present.
