Austria Dinner

The Bailliage of Vienna continued its active programme of events by holding a dinner at the Bistro ‘Wein.Raum’ where the owner, Maître Sommelier Arnold Harter, and his team had prepared an excellent evening for us. The event was fully booked.

On arrival we were welcomed with hors d’oeuvres served with Crémant de Bourgogne Blanc de Blancs.

The six-course dinner started with a variation of stuffed conchiglioni, followed by smoked ham from the Styrian Vulcano region with rosemary-olives and homemade bread. The third course was a duet of black salsify cream soup with crayfish and red beet soup with horseradish.



Pumpkin sorbet provided an interlude before we proceeded to enjoy the main course of saltimbocca and a filet of venison with semolina strudel and root vegetables. This delicious menu was lusciously concluded by sour-cherry and chocolate, followed by a variation of well-selected French cheeses.

Once again, the Bailliage’s members and guests had the opportunity to participate in a fantastic evening of warm camaraderie, excellent food and superb wine.
