[Bailliage of Goa] Goa, October 19, 2012

The Bailliage of Goa opened its programme of activities for the season 2012/13 at the luxurious Taj Fort Aguada. It was a banner event with a sumptuous barbecue and live entertainment on the shores of the Indian Ocean.

October is the time when residents and tourists alike return to this sought-after destination to prepare for the high season and to enjoy the paradise ambiance with its mystic flair for which the sunshine state is known.

The venue was decorated with lamps the length of the open air terrace. They were complemented by a large bonfire, the overall effect which was to create a ‘1001 nights’ atmosphere.



The party totalled some 35 members and guests, including local Bailliage members as well as others who had come especially for the event from Mumbai and Bangalore. For their enjoyment, a large selection of seafood, together with sizzling steak, was cooked over charcoal, Paired with the delicious food were a fine selection of ‘Fratelli’ Indian wines.



General Manager Rajeev Khanna, Maître Hôtelier, and his culinary team spared no efforts to showcase their readiness for the season to come. Bailli Délégué Anja Matysik-Kroll honoured the fact that Confrère Rajeev was a founding member of the Chaîne in India when it formally started in 2008. At the same time, the Bailliage of Goa’s new executive committee, headed by Vice-Chancelier Mario Sequiera, was also introduced.



With now over 30 members in Goa the local Bailliage continues to grow in strength given its commitment its objectives to unite top professionals of the hospitality industry with gourmet connoisseurs with a high standing in the local community.
