France Gala Dinner

[Bailliage of Paris/Ile-de-France] Paris, January 16, 2013

As part of its programme of gastronomic events, the Bailliage of Paris/Ile-de-France invited its members and guests to its annual Gala dinner which was this year held in a private room at the Hôtel Le Bristol.

One of the most prestigious hotels in Paris, the Bristol symbolises quintessential French luxury and sophistication. Ideally located on the prestigious rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, in the heart of the fashion and arts quarter, the hotel has been open for business since 1925. Spacious, light and decorated in a pure, 18th century style all rooms and suites have been fully renovated to a very high specification.



A delicious, inventive menu, prepared by head chef Eric Frechon (three Michelin stars) and his team, was a treat indeed:

- Champagne and amuse-bouches

- Arborio risotto with slivers of black truffles and Parmesan, prepared with chicken jus

- Wild turbot meunière, onion tempura and chicken jus (a speciality of Chef Frechon)

- Millefeuille with lemon zest, caramel sauce made with salted butter

- Coffee, petits fours and chocolates


The selected wines:
- Chablis 1er cru Vaillons 2011 – Maison Droin
- Le Haut-Médoc de Maucaillou 2007


We were delighted to welcome again so many loyal friends superbly elegant in their evening wear in honour of this wonderful occasion.
