Our latest member Franck Énée, is the chef and manager at the Franck Énée Restaurant in the 1st arrondissement, situated in the heart of Paris between the Louvre and the renowned department stores on the Boulevard Haussmann.
Chef Énée, who delighted us at “Chez Monsieur Lapin”, has returned to Paris. With his new restaurant, Chef Énée perpetuates his tradition of honest and hearty cuisine, and we are delighted to have him back.
The champagne served to us on arrival was accompanied by some delicious appetisers. After catching up and sharing the latest gossip on Parisian restaurants and the current must-see events, we were shown to our tables.
The menu was composed of:
A slice of foie gras with rhubarb and gingerbread
2011 Blanc moelleux d'En Ségur, Domaine d’En Ségur, AOC Côtes du Tarn
Wild sea bass, olive oil and cumin, with fennel
2011 Pouilly-Fumé, Domaine de Maltaberne, Gilles Maudry

Caramelised pineapple, baked custard with Bourbon vanilla
Coffee, tea or tisane
The evening ended with everyone in high spirits and guests asking for business cards from the restaurant, promising to come again to enjoy some of the other dishes on the menu.
This restaurant really is excellent value for money. Compliments to the chef and to the wonderful waiting staff, who were quick, efficient and attentive!
