Spring was in the air for our 'Incheon journey'

To celebrate the lovely Korean spring, Chaîne members went near the seashore to discover the very special “Incheon Journey” menu carefully designed and prepared by the Sheraton Songdo, under the leadership of General Manager James Park and Chef Ricky Park.

After a relaxing and bonding cocktail time with colourful appetizers and Philipponnat Réserve pink champagne, the party was ushered to the dinner venue where two big tables decorated with fresh white and green blossoms awaited them. The special menu was artfully presented on spring flower decorated cards and napkins tied with a white rose and bow.

The “Incheon journey” theme provided the guests the opportunity to discover and experience products locally sourced, both from the sea such as clams, akami tuna, sea bass and from the land such as a sumptuous velvety deok jeok do cep mushroom cream. After a refreshing ginseng granite, land and sea merged in a duo of ganghwa-do eel and Han Woo beef cooked to perfection.

The excellent wine pairings took us from Italy to Alsace with a golden Marcel Deiss Gewurztraminer ‘Saint Hippolyte’ and ultimately Portugal for Dow’s 1983 Vintage Port.

The service brigade efficiently and discretely moved around allowing the guests to enjoy both the food and the active conversations.

At the end of the dinner the mood was definitely relaxed, perfectly in tune with the spring weekend.
