The Boathouse on Kata Beach hosted a dinner for World Chaîne Day. The event showed camaraderie and spirt of the Chaîne with good food and wine to match.

World Chaîne Day was invented in Finland as a national event five years ago. The idea was to promote professional members and at the same time publicity for the Chaîne amongst non-members and media. Finland felt it was such a good idea which was very successful, so it was introduced to the International Board. It expanded to all member countries with this year being the third annual day.
 
The main idea is to build a virtual chain of events from member countries following the sun. It starts in New Zealand, following through Asia to Africa and Europe, crossing to USA and Canada. Last event is normally in the Cook Islands. So we covered the whole world and all time zones during the weekend.

We would like to thank Chaîne member Max Chin, General Manager of The Boathouse and fellow Chaîne member, as well as Executive Chef Jonathan Bruell for making this a special day for us in Phuket.
