Bailli Délégué Norm Harrison and Bailli of South Australia, Serena Harrison-North, arranged to meet up with Chaîne members in Fort Worth and Dallas during a visit to Texas.

Learning of the forthcoming visit to the USA - and Texas in particular - Randall Moore, Bailli of Fort Worth, laid on an informal Texas-style catered-barbecue at which attendees brought their favourite US wines to treat Norm and Serena.

This generosity came after Randall met the Australian couple at a Bailliage of New South Wales event last year in Sydney. Members and guests from the Bailliages of Fort Worth and Dallas participated in the event, including Mike Davis, Bailli Honoraire of Dallas.

The get-together, with its authentic “Cow Town” welcome, was held in the social room of the Fort Worth branch of Classic Wine Storage, the site of the Bailliage of Fort Worth’s cellar!

The informal international event was clearly enjoyed by everyone in attendance - if the sound of the guests loudly chanting (no doubt for the first time ever in the wine cellar social room) “Aussie, Aussie, Aussie… Oi, Oi, Oi” is anything to go by!!
