Vietnam Festive Dinner

Bailliage of Vietnam
Hanoi, December 14, 2018

Outstanding year-end event at Angelina in Hanoi
" I can say with great certainty that this was one of the best meals I have ever consumed in Southeast Asia "

The Bailliage hosted an intimate year-end festive dinner for 16 lucky guests at Angelina in the legendary Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi.

The event featured a reception with Syn Champagne NV and canapés, passed and at live stations, five succulent courses paired with French wines and an after-dinner digestif all conceived and performed by the hotel’s three senior chefs: Aurélien Houguet, Paul Smart and Raphaël Kinimo.

Of the courses served, it was extremely difficult to pick a favourite. Time and effort invested in every last detail was phenomenal. Whether it was adding pumpkin seeds and pumpkin oil to finish the Hokkaido scallop course, or the clear strip of lardon over the foie gras that simply took the dish over the top to the two main courses, not one single guest could stop raving throughout and after meal.

Everyone was so thoroughly delighted by the dinner that many agreed this could have been the best one they have ever consumed while on Vietnamese soil.

As I observed on the night, “Of the numerous dinners we have hosted throughout Vietnam, as well as the hundreds of dinners I have personally attended, I can say with great certainty that this was one of the best meals I have ever consumed in Southeast Asia.”
