It was with great pleasure that the Chaîne introduced a new addition to its worldwide family. In Dhaka, the capital and largest city of Bangladesh, the newly-founded National Bailliage celebrated its inauguration on November 30th.

Marc Reissinger, appointed as Bailli Délégué, had proved his creativity, capability and convincing influence. After taking over the InterContinental Dhaka as General Manager, in only six months he assembled more than 40 enthusiastic members to form the basis of the new Bailliage.

Klaus Tritschler, Member of the Conseil d’Administration who is Chair of the Bailliage Development Committee, was in close contact with Marc during that time. Consequently, in this capacity Klaus came especially to Dhaka from Germany to represent President Yam Atallah by presiding over the inaugural Induction Ceremony.

A distinguished guest at the Chapitre was His Excellency Jean-Marin Schuh, the Ambassador of France to Bangladesh, who was inducted as Chevalier d’Honneur.

The InterContinental Dhaka is a prominent luxury hotel in the Ramna district of central Dhaka. It was the first international five-star hotel in the country having opened for business in 1966. The event took place in the hotel’s elegant library and was followed by an excellent Gala Dinner prepared by French Chef Jerôme Daviau.

The world of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs has become bigger and even more colourful, which makes travelling very exciting.
