Principality of Monaco Dinner

Bailliage of Principality of Monaco
Cap d'Ail (France), July 24, 2020

The Chaîne at La Pinède
" La Pinède has been a Côte d'Azur institution for years "

The stunning setting for this dinner was the La Pinède restaurant in Cap d’Ail, where members of the National Bailliage and their guests chose to meet for the first time since the end of the lockdown.

Under the joyful leadership of Bailli Délégué Gérard Canarie, members and their friends were given the opportunity to enjoy this delightful summer evening accompanied by the menu put together by Chef Fabio Antonacci and served by Eliot and Michel’s attentive staff!

La Pinède has been a Côte d’Azur institution for years. With its fantastic location overlooking the Mediterranean, this former fisherman’s cabin in Cap d'Ail has been transformed into a wonderful restaurant, particularly popular with fish lovers. The fish, straight from the rocky shoals of Corsica, are served, poached or grilled, on the stunning terraces on the waterfront.

WINE

The illustrious Château Rasque
White, Rosé and Red

The soil of the Château Rasque estate is something special. The estate is one of the last Alpine folds, where oak, pine, broom, rockrose and brambles live side by side. The soil is a mix of clay and limestone which, on a natural spur at an altitude of 260 m, is perfect for growing vines. Typical of the great Côtes de Provence, this soil produces the fruity, floral aromas of its rosé and white wines. It also gives the tannins of red wines their power and a certain finesse.
