Bailli Leonid Garbar welcomes members to the Stroganoff Steak House
The Bailliage’s first dinner of 2016 was held in the Stroganoff Steak House, co-owned by Bailli Leonid Garbar. The restaurant was nominated in 2015 as the best restaurant in Saint Petersburg.
More than 50 members and guests attended the special dinner. Among them was a delegation from SWISSAM (Switzerland-American), the first Russian hospitality business school which opened 3 years ago in Saint Petersburg.
The delegation included five culinary advisors from the USA, SWISSAM CEO Hans Hiertner and Jonas Grip who is Director of SWISSAM’s Culinary Art School as well as being Conseiller Culinaire of the Bailliage of Russia.
Another notable guest was the Director of the Saint Petersburg Grand Philharmonic Hall.
During the champagne reception Executive Chef Maxim Shalavin, who is a Chef Rôtisseur in the Chaîne, started the lamb cooking on a unique Portuguese grill.

During the dinner there was a non-stop slide show of Chaîne memories since 2009, the year when Henri Everaars became Bailli Délégué. Furthermore, guitar music was performed during the menu breaks.
It was a unique, delicious and most enjoyable start to 2016!
