The Runner-up was Finland’s Laura Virolainen from Restaurant Smor in Turku. She was presented with the Gaston-Landry Panuel Award and the Silver Medal.

The host country, Hungary, was also represented in the top three. Adam Mede from the Onyx Restaurant in Budapest was named in Third Place. He received the Jean Valby Trophy and the Bronze Medal.

The three winners received special prizes provided by the Competition sponsors. All competitors received a Competition Diploma, one year’s Chaîne membership, a Bragard Chef’s Dress Jacket, an Equinox Coffret Valrhona, a Wüsthof kitchen knife and a Chefs-Hat Inc. Chef’s Working Jacket.

Much appreciation was expressed to the Bailliage of Hungary and to Metro, the host establishment. The event would not have been possible without them and certainly not without the continued generous support of our international sponsors.

1 Arthur Bolli (1906–1983), was a Swiss Chef. He held the position of Chairman of the Committee of Professional Members, and was often a member of the Jury during international competitions. Chef Bolli created the "black box" for the culinary competitions.

Elected to be a Member of the Conseil Magistral in 1962. In 1974, he was promoted to Chargé de Missions of the Bailliage of Switzerland, then to Conseiller Culinaire in 1975.

To maintain the tradition of Arthur Bolli, the Bailliage of Switzerland created a trophy, which remains in the office of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs in Paris, where it is engraved with the name of the winner of the Concours International des Jeunes Chefs Rôtisseurs. A replica trophy is awarded to the competitor.
