South Africa Chapitre

Bailliage of Johannesburg, South Africa
Johannesburg, March 26, 2017

Italian-themed lunchtime event saw new Bailli inducted
" everything combined perfectly to create a wonderful and successful Chapitre "

The Bailliage decided to stage its 2017 Chapitre at Casalinga, an Italian restaurant set in tranquil gardens where the food is grown organically and delivered straight to table.

The Induction Ceremony was held in the unusual setting of the chapel and presided over by Allison Rutowitz, Member Honoraire of the Conseil d’Administration and Bailli Délégué Honoraire.

On the induction list were the following members being promoted to the Johannesburg committee: William Perry - Bailli, Colin Jordaan - Vice-Chancelier-Argentier, Venetia LePine-Williams - Vice-Échanson, Martin Hiller van Rensburg - Vice-Chargé de Presse.

Afterwards members and guests were treated to delicious canapés in the gardens, accompanied by an Aperol spritz made with Prosecco. This allowed for great conversation and the making of new friends as the Bailliage of Pretoria joined us to celebrate the event.

For lunch, the creations of Chef Peter de Luca were much enjoyed. He strives to create the finest contemporary Italian cuisine using only fresh, natural ingredients, free of preservatives and artificial substances. The vegetables and herbs are organically grown on his farm to ensure the highest quality. With a variety of dishes available every culinary whim was covered.

Wines were carefully chosen to match the flavour profile of each dish. From the setting to the food, everything combined perfectly to create a wonderful and successful Chapitre.
