Myanmar is formally joining the international Confrérie on September 16th when it stages its inaugural Chapitre at The Yangon Restaurant (website)

Located within the heart of People’s Park the establishment embraces the modern development of Myanmar. Internationally-designed, the dining room features high ceilings, soft wood finishes, a stunning 2,500 piece crystal chandelier and panoramic views across parklands.

The programme for the event is as follows:

2pm: departure from the Savoy Hotel to visit the famous Shwedagon Pagoda and to tour the historic centre of Yangon
 
3.30pm: High Tea at The Yangon Restaurant

4.30pm: Induction Ceremony formally inaugurating the Bailliage

6.30pm: Reception on the restaurant’s outdoor patio
 
7.30pm: Dinner
