Kuwait Dinner

Bailliage of Kuwait
Kuwait City, October 7, 2017

A cultural journey to the Netherlands
" Apples excelled in the salad with seared scallops and sole beignet "

The Bailliage held a lovely gala dinner at the residence of the Dutch Ambassador, His Excellency Frans Potuyt, and his wife Anita Vogel.

Ambassador Potuyt joined the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1980 and has served in a variety of posts in Asia, the Middle East and Europe. He was appointed Ambassador to Kuwait in 2015. The Dutch Embassy here is also responsible for Bahrain.

The Symphony Style Hotel catered for the event. The creative menu was delectable and appealing.

It incorporated the Netherlands’ famous Maasdam cheese with parsley pesto and a confit of onion and fennel tartar with quail eggs.

Prominent too was Dutch bobby veal accompanied by basil barley risotto and stuffed morels.

Apples excelled in the salad with seared scallops and sole beignet as well as in the famous apple bread completing the Dutch delights.

The notion of a cultural journey to the Netherlands was enhanced through the beautiful table settings, live music, and welcoming atmosphere at the residence.
