In honour of the Bailliage's first ever Jeunes Sommeliers competitor
" Khun Phanwadee Manusphaibool represented Thailand with distinction at this year's final of the competition "
The National Council of the Bailliage of Thailand hosted a dinner to show appreciation to the Bailliage’s first ever competitor in an International Final of the Jeunes Sommeliers Competition.
Khun Phanwadee Manusphaibool represented Thailand with distinction at this year’s final of the competition, which took place in Budapest, Hungary, on September 29-30.
A charming young lady, Khun Phanwadee, who works at L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon in Bangkok, enjoyed regaling the Council members present about the details of the Competition, the visits to vineyards and social occasions during her first visit to Hungary.
She was full of praise for the organisers, both globally and locally, her hosts and fellow competitors, and is extremely proud of her newly-acquired “Sommelier” grade membership of the Chaîne.
Bailli Délégué Arto Artinian praised Khun Phanwadee, saying that not only was she a credit to the Bailliage but also to Thailand where sommelier skills as a profession are in their infancy.
The dinner took place at the iconic Fireplace Grill and Bar in the InterContinental Hotel which has been a model of fine dining in Bangkok for over 40 years.
