Memorable moments in Düsseldorf and Essen
" Being in unusual places with friends from around the world are the memorable moments that make the Chaîne very special "

Düsseldorf has been given many labels, from snobbish to stylish, from jolly to cosmopolitan. It has in fact a bit of each, besides being known for a sophisticated shopping avenue, “Kö” and many outstanding restaurants.

During this 91st Grand Chapitre these venues featured in the programme and were well visited. Another outstanding location was the place of Induction Ceremony.

Zollverein Coal Mine in Essen is a UNESCO heritage site converted into a museum. On top of the Winding Tower of Shaft 12 is a glass encircled hall where some 70 inductees and 150 guests attended the ceremony presided over by Tassos Kioulpapas, Member of the Conseil Magistral from Greece. As it was a bright and sunny day the view from the tower was simply spectacular.

Being in unusual places with friends from around the world are the memorable moments that make the Chaîne very special.

This Grand Chapitre concluded the year 2017 but in 2018 we hope to meet again in Regensburg, another heritage site.

Vive la Chaîne!
