Welcome to the website of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs,
Bailliage of the Netherlands Antilles, home of the
'Bailliage des Caraïbes'

Our Chaîne is a gastronomic society, with principles based on the historic Guild of the 'Maîtrises des Rôtisseurs'. Founded in 1248 by St. Louis, as a professional guild of Goose Roasters, 'Les Ayeurs' were granted Royal Charter and it's own Coat of Arms in 1610.
Each ancient guild set high standards for professionalism and quality; ours were those standards befitting the splendour of the 'Royal Table'.

Reinstated as an order of Chivalry by the French government in 1950, the 'new Chaîne des Rôtisseurs' now invites highly trained professionals of the hospitality trade and well-known amateur-gourmands, to join in membership. These leading and outstanding people promise to protect the culture of fine dining and the art of good manners.
They aim to revive the spirit of the old guild, by promoting fine culinary arts. All in the great spirit of friendship!

So, we organize unique formal -and informal- dining events, always motivating our professional members to do better. Realizing our educational responsibility, we organize culinary exhibitions for young 'Chefs' and award scholarships. On occasion, as in the middle ages, we contribute to charity in the form of sponsored meals.

Friends from neighboring islands, who share the same high ethics in life, can join in membership.
Our society will be happy to assist you in setting up a new chapter.

Bienvenue dans notre confrérie!
