World Chaîne Day 2020

Updated information and instructions

Nobody would have believed in February that in April we are in the middle of the biggest tragedy of modern history. Everything has changed in few weeks!

However World Chaîne Day can offer us a channel to keep up the spirit and create camaraderie connections between members around the world.

World Chaîne Day this year will be unique in that, out of necessity it will be very different.

The following information and instructions replace everything published to date.

As events and gatherings are now banned in practically the whole world the theme for World Chaîne Day 2020 are “home cooking” and “celebration”.

Be active and be creative, raising the spirit at this time is especially important.

There will be a photo competition as usual, albeit it will be adapted to the exceptional circumstances this year.

There will be no categories. The jury will go through all the picture material coming in through the Social Wall and select several pictures best reflecting the unprecedented time in which we are living. The images selected will receive the usual accolades and diplomas.

Instructions for the Social Wall

The Social Wall will be open on Saturday, April 18th, i.e. one week before the actual event. This will make it possible to follow the preparations and to share feelings in advance of the day

There will be only one type of Social Wall in use. It will be good for personal use and personal devices. This Wall will show all the incoming material in chronological order. It will be scrollable from the outset.

NB. The Wall suitable for display on large screens in a function room for instance will not now be in use this year.

The Social Wall is the easiest way to follow what is going on during the weekend. There is no need for personal accounts or registration. Just click the link and you are in! It is free to use and free to share.

The link to the Social Wall will be published on Saturday, April 18th on the home page of the Chaîne’s international website (
