Summer solstice celebration in a spectacular location
" Sophisticated and innovative its decoration is contemporary, elegant and refined "

Torre d'Alta Mar, one of the most spectacular restaurants in the world, was where we celebrated the summer solstice. This prestigious restaurant is located more than 75 metres above the Port Vell-Barceloneta cable car station, in Torre de San Sebastián giving incredible 360º panoramic views of the port of Barcelona, general views of the entire city and the beaches. The cable car was built for the Universal Exhibition of Barcelona in 1929 to connect the port to the Montjuïc mountain where the event took place.

Torre d’Alta Mar was opened in 2002 by brothers Carlos and Oscar Manresa who have impressive culinary roots being pillars of Barcelona’s gastronomy together with great vision for the future and spot on business know-how.

Sophisticated and innovative its decoration is contemporary, elegant and refined. Chefs Albert Dolcet and Joan Martínez produce a traditional Mediterranean cuisine creative and intense and naturally of the highest quality. No surprise it is recommended in the Michelin Guide for attentive service, exquisite food and exceptional location.

A welcome glass of cava together with Chef’s appetizer set our palates tingling before we adjourned to the spacious, elegant dining room.
