Germany Grand Chapitre

Bailliage of Germany
Binz, September 13-15, 2018

Blessed with fine weather on the Baltic coast
" Two hundred and twenty attended the Grand Gala Dinner "

Germany’s 93rd Grand Chapitre was held on the Island of Rügen.

If you search for that island you have to look eastwards to the edge of Germany on the Baltic Sea. Long beaches, beautiful hotels and quiet if wanted. Many did want just that.

The weather played along and the programme included many of the famous sights that are known from paintings and books. As the restaurants are rather small there were several chosen to accommodate all the members and guests.

A beautiful old theatre was the chosen location for the Induction Ceremony. Gerrit de Kiewit, Member of the Conseil Magistral from the Netherlands took the oath and proceeded to induct many new members and formalise the promotion for others.

Two hundred and twenty attended the Grand Gala Dinner in the Kurhaus Hotel. The glorious weather permitted the aperitif to be served on the big terrasse facing the sea. Many passers-by stopped to wonder exactly who was this elegant group dressed in their finery!

This evening concluded a successful Grand Chapitre. Much planning was involved as always. Therefore we want to thank Bailli Erhard Kulosa and his team for all the perfect arrangements during the three days.

Vive la Chaîne!
