Chaîne on the streets

Towards the end of the summer Chaîne members really start to miss each other’s company. Who can think of a better idea than to meet informally, on the streets of the Kaleiçi, the historic city centre of Antalya?

The district has a rich history, from the Pergamon Kingdom through Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman periods. Lovely small streets with authentic houses with a lively atmosphere thanks to the many restaurants, bars and boutique hotels in this area.

Our members gathered at Pio Gastro Bar for an extensive menu of Latin “street food”. And it was indeed extensive as you will discover below!

What great fun it was! Members and their guests were seated at several tables in different parts of the streets. Locals and tourists stopped frequently to ask about our beautiful ribbons. Members even saw their friends passing by. What a coincidence! Not only did we have great food and superb wines but it was also an excellent promotion for our worldwide gastronomic association.

Bailliage members are perhaps a bit spoiled thanks to the many 5-star hotels and resorts where our dinners are normally organized. Eating street food literally on the street and squeezing everyone in the small alley for the traditional presentation of certificates was an experience we will not easily forget.

Vive la Chaîne!
