Netherlands World Chaîne Day
Vreeland, April 13, 2019
Wonderful lunch makes for a most successful day
" Involving a large banner made it clear to the world that the Bailliage of Netherlands was fully participating "

Our World Chaîne Day celebration at the Restaurant De Nederlanden was preceded by the National Bailliage’s Annual General Meeting.

Following the formalities of the meeting a “World Chaîne Day” group photo was taken outdoors. Involving a large banner made it clear to the world that the Bailliage of Netherlands was fully participating in the event.

During the reception we enjoyed Cava with canapes:
- watermelon with yuzu
- pineapple with chips, guacamole, creme fraiche and buttermilk, mint
- sorbet of cucumber and chermoula.

Afterwards lunch was served in the beautiful dining room at the De Nederlanden where 40 members were present with their partners.

We were delighted to welcome Jan Verbert, a Bailli Honoraire from Belgium, together with his wife, Rita, and from Germany came Wolfgang and Gretel Schrahe.

Also, to everyone's delight Chevalier d'Honneur Mrs An de Bijll Nachenius was again able to attend a Bailliage event after a lengthy absence.

Chef Wilco Berends put together a five-course menu for us.
