Hokkaido is located at the northern end of Japan. The day of this Chapitre was still very cold for March.

The Gala event was held at Sapporo Grand Hotel. Since opening its doors as Hokkaido's first genuine Western style hotel in December 1934, the Sapporo Grand has remained committed to greeting its guests with its “Hospitality First” policy.

After the General Assembly, the Induction Ceremony in particular saw Hokkaido’s new Bailli Provincial, Masanori Sakurai, inducted by Bailli Délégué Koji Fukuda.

During the Gala Dinner, Conseiller Culinaire Provincial Tetsuya Koizumi, the hotel’s Executive Chef, prepared a special menu using produce especially from Hokkaido.

The 28 participants thoroughly enjoyed this dinner. When congratulating Chef Koizumi and his brigade, spontaneous enthusiastic applause came from the members in a warm display of appreciation.
