Truffle dinner at Gianni's
" the warm personal attention of Chef Gianni excelled together with that of his team "
Our annual pilgrimage to Gianni’s Italian Restaurant is always timed to coincide with the pinnacle of the truffle season. Arrivals of fresh black and white truffles abound to lavish our dishes and savour our palates matched perfectly with fine Italian wines.
On arrival we enjoyed delectable amuse-bouches paired with a 2008 Dante Rivetti Ivan Spumante Rosé. It had a light copper colour with aromatic notes of almond and white truffle accenting subtle flavours of dried apricot. A perfect beginning for an Italian feast.
Four courses of Italian fine cuisine followed. Each one was served with copious quantities of white truffle paired to four delicious wines.
Important not forget the black truffle! We enjoyed goose liver-filled royal quail, green asparagus, thyme sauce and winter black truffle.
As is the case every year, the warm personal attention of Chef Gianni excelled together with that of his team. The execution of this exclusive OMGD (Ordre Mondial des Gourmets Dégustateurs) dinner clearly demonstrated what has earned him an enviable reputation in Bangkok’s gourmet circles.
