The Bailliage’s most recent dinner took place at Intercontinental Fujairah Resort, Al Aqah, Fujairah, beginning with a perfectly executed experience. The sunset ritual, following the saxophonist along the fire pits for the ‘Grape-in-Hand’ walk with glasses of sparkling wine, band at the reception, pass arounds served on shell decorations, the exquisite setup by the sea and the Chaîne first open kitchen experience,  the perfectly executed seven course culinary journey and attentive service. Amazing hospitality indeed!

The menu in a bottle with sand and shells was ready to float away in the sea of great memories as described by Bastien Blanc Vice-Conseiller Gastronomique Honoraire and IHG Vice President Operations Middle East and North Africa. Our culinary journey began and was delivered far beyond our expectations.

Having Chef Indrajit walk us through the culinary journey explaining the concept behind each dish, the ingredients sourced locally within Fujairah and “Snoopy” island and even visiting each table to present the Stained Smoked Octopus course, added a much-treasured personal touch. Amazing how he managed to stay calm throughout.

Appreciation was given to Vijai Singh, the Resort’s General Manager, and his team for amazing hospitality from the moment we arrived. Attention to detail was remarkable, guaranteeing this event will stay one of our most memorable experiences.

A special thank you went to Grand Officier Willi Diene for offering the famous ‘best ever taste’ Kölsch beer. Finally thanks to Christian Grage, Member Honoraire of the Conseil Magistral and Bailli Délégué Honoraire of Czech Republic, for his support and for the “santé du chef”.

Last but not least our grateful thanks go to the entire team at the Resort for a truly splendid event and memorable experience. We had a wonderful time with extremely positive feedback. Looking forward to more Chaîne events at IHG!
