Continuing the tradition at The Club
" All in all it was an excellent start to the festive season "

We held our traditional annual Christmas lunch in the Vista Restaurant at The Club in Abu Dhabi for our 11th consecutive year.

Threatening clouds gave way to sunshine by midday, and soon lively conversation and imbibing of Mumm Champagne was under way.

A starter of yellow fin tuna with “Bloody Mary” scallops gave way to the next course of exquisite rabbit loin wrapped in prosciutto.

Chef Peter de Kauwe, who was featured in the 2019 edition of the Chaîne’s international magazine, managed to come up with yet another variation on our traditional trio of goose. He even including an extra goose element by using goose eggs.

Hazelnut and chocolate crémeux dessert was followed by mince pies with brandy cream.

All in all it was an excellent start to the festive season. Every year The Club management and their departmental teams give us such great support and enthusiasm. Therefore, it is always with pleasure that we reserve the date for the following year. A big thank you went to Executive Chef Peter, Outlet Manager Anil Devarajan, Food and Beverage Manager David Gould and General Manager Mike McGrath.

After all but a few of us had left, in the shelter of the bar the first drops of rain could be heard on the roof. We congratulated ourselves on the perfect timing for the outdoor dining event.
