Myanmar Festive Lunch

Bailliage of Myanmar
Yangon, December 7, 2019

Goodbye in real style to 2019
" Yet another fantastic memory to cherish "

The Bailliage said goodbye to 2019 in real style. The festivities of the holiday season were thoroughly enjoyed together before parting for family reunions.

On a lovely Sunday afternoon, members and their guests were welcomed at the scenic Orng Kitchen for a sumptuous Christmas lunch. The event was graced by the presence of Grand Officier Peter Green from the Bailliage of Bangkok in Thailand.

On the wooden deck, surrounded by lotus-filled ponds, we started with chilled glasses of champagne and specially-created canapés by Chef Orng Joitamois, a homegrown Myanmar boy.

Orng Kitchen’s philosophy of "love, passion and dedication" truly reflects Chef Orng’s personality. He spent many years in Edinburgh training with Scotland’s best chefs to perfect his cooking skills. However, Chef Orng was determined to return to Yangon to open his own restaurant.

Since achieving his dream, Chef Orng’s contribution to the city’s dining scene has made him one of the pillars of fine dining in Myanmar.
