Kuwait Chapitre

Bailliage of Kuwait
Kuwait City, December 7, 2019

A festive delight
" aged Angus beef fillet with truffle porcini sauce was out of this world "

The Bailliage held its 37th Chapitre - a wonderful, very festive gala evening at the Arraya Ballroom in the Marriott Courtyard Kuwait City.

A majestic location, the Arraya Ballroom is a legend of elegance and exceptional hospitality in the heart of Kuwait City. Spread over 1,500 square metres and divisible into six separate sections, the ballroom is considered to be the most prestigious venue in Kuwait for events of all sizes.

Philip Evins, Member of the Conseil Magistral, came especially from Great Britain as the representative of President Yam Atallah to induct the new members, promote existing ones and present awards to the long-term loyal members of our very international Bailliage of Kuwait with its members from 31 nationalities.

The Arraya Ballroom had been turned into a magical, shimmering, festive venue, featuring exquisite details. Each table had its own gingerbread house filled with cookies.

The gala dinner was a tribute to the celebratory season. The festive menu started with foie gras and Valrhona chocolate. Salmon and beetroot gravlax followed, then came guinea fowl consommé, after which enoki mushroom tortellini delighted us.

Chef’s signature snail with baby asparagus and yuzu orange preceded a grenadine mint sorbet to cleanse our palates.

For the main course, the delicious aged Angus beef fillet with truffle porcini sauce was out of this world. The delightful finale of bitter chocolate hazelnut mousse with cinnamon berries and pear compote concluded the wonderful menu.

The jolly children’s choir tuned us into the jovial atmosphere. Classical music from violin and piano completed the musical accompaniment to the festive gala dinner bringing our 2019 programme of events to a close.
