Belgium Grand Chapitre 2020

Bailliage of Belgium
Namur, March 28-30, 2020

An outstanding programme!
" Gala Induction Evening at the Château de Namur "

It is with much pleasure that Bailli Délégué Ilse Duponcheel and her National Officers invite you to participate in this Grand Chapitre of the Bailliage of Belgium being held in Namur from March 28-30 with the Château de Namur being the host hotel.

Namur is both the capital of the province of Namur and of Wallonia. Its location at the head of the Ardennes has also made it a popular tourist centre. The city’s most prominent sight is the citadel. It also has a distinctive 18th-century cathedral dedicated to Saint Aubain and a belfry classified by UNESCO.

Saturday 28th will see a morning visit to the Distillerie de Bercé, one of the finest in Belgium. After a tasting lunch will be served. In the evening, a six-course dinner is planned at Pierre Résimont’s Restaurant l’Eau Vive at Profondéville.

A day-long visit to Dinant on Sunday 29th will take in a vineyard visit, a local produce buffet lunch, guided tour of La Maison de Leffe, one of Belgium’s famous “monk” beers and a drive back to the hotel through the so-called Ardennes Highlands.

Dinner will be at the Michelin 1-star Restaurant La Plage d’Amée at Jambes on the outskirts of Namur.

Monday 30th brings the programme to its grand finale with the Gala Induction Evening at the Château de Namur. During the day there will be the opportunity for a culinary walk around Durbuy, which claims to be the smallest city in the world, followed by lunch at La Maison de Hary Cot at Wéris.
