Kenya Festive Ball

Bailliage of Nairobi, Kenya
Nairobi, December 14, 2019

Gala evening at Dusit D2
" members and guests showed their appreciation with a rousing round of applause "

The Bailliage launched the festive season in true style at Dusit D2. Members and their guests arrived in black tie and ball gowns. They were welcomed with champagne and cocktails accompanied by delicious canapes: steak tartare, potato dauphine and red snapper ceviche.

Thanks to the meticulous planning and co-ordination by General Manager Michael Metaxas, Food and Beverage Manager Francis Muoka and Executive Chef Christopher Graham, the Dusit team delivered a truly delightful gastronomic evening.

The food, presentation and service certainly met the high standards that are the hallmark of Chaîne dinners. Chef Christopher curated a memorable menu and graciously paid special attention to the vegetarian diners present. Complementing the festive menu were elegant wines from the Mendoza region of Argentina courtesy of Dan Davis of Dion Wines.

Special mention was given to the evening’s musicians - saxophonist Rabai and DJ Myles - who kept the diners entertained throughout. After dessert, the DJ’s music tempted everyone onto the dance floor. It was great fun to “shake a leg” to some very uplifting music!

To crown the night each guest received a beautiful red and white monogrammed Christmas candle. A lovely memento of the evening and fitting finale to a fabulous year of Chaîne events and celebrations in Nairobi.
