Bailliage of the Netherlands

" we would like to draw attention to a number of special initiatives by Professional members in our National Bailliage "

In common with the rest of the world, in the Netherlands all restaurants have been closed since mid-March due to the coronavirus crisis.

Many restaurateurs have been using this time to carry out renovations, refurbishments and inventories in their establishments. But inventive initiatives are also emerging, such as offering takeaway meals, vouchers and recipes for the home.

In particular we would like to draw attention to a number of special initiatives by Professional members in our National Bailliage.

Landhuishotel De Bloemenbeek in de Lutte is engaged in trying to relieve care providers by offering their 45 employees as volunteers in childcare or other care.

In addition to home menus, Hotel Carelshaven in Delden offers rooms to doctors who work in the regional hospital. It has thus been transformed into the “Helden Hotel”.

Restaurant Zout & Citroen (Michelin 1-star) in Oosterhout - the province in the Netherlands that has been most affected by the corinavirus - provides local residents with free meals. This is done in conjunction with other local entrepreneurs who all receive heartfelt thanks for their generosity.

The following restaurants offer home meals. We are encouraging our members to take advantage of these initiatives, most of which are offered on Facebook: By Chiel in Zutphen; Carelshaven in Delden; De Mandemaaker in Spakenburg; Le Nord in Bilthoven; R & O (Michelin 1-star) in Sint Willebrord; De Nederlanden (Michelin 1-star) in Vreeland; La Provence (Michelin 1-star) in Driebergen; Zout & Citroen (Michelin 1-star) in Oosterhout.

Take care, keep safe

Vive la Chaîne!
