Induction of new Bailli Adam Goodman
" at the Intercontinental Phuket Resort located on Kamala Beach "

We held our Chapitre at the Intercontinental Phuket Resort located on Kamala Beach which is the most exclusive area on the stunning west coast of Phuket. The resort is a visual and architectural showcase of Thai heritage.

Bailli Ian Lancaster introduced Joe Prasobsook Thawilvejjakul, Member of the Conseil Magistral, who had travelled from Bangkok to be the Inducting Officer.

This was Ian’s farewell as he was standing down as Bailli. He received the International Chaîne’s Silver Award for his very successful stewardship of the Bailliage since April 2015.

At the Induction Ceremony Adam Goodman received his green ribbon as the new Bailli. Three other Bailliage Officers were also inducted:
- Warren Murray as Vice-Chargé de Presse
- Stewart Petersen Phuke as Vice-Chargé de Missions
- Paul Poole as Vice-Echanson.

After group photos we departed in golf carts for the stunning pagoda building for Champagne and canapes with more opportunities for photos on the scenic steps leading to the dining area.

Dinner in the air-conditioned restaurant was at one long table. Adam Goodman’s first task as Bailli was to welcome everyone. The InterContinental staff then served an excellent dinner the menu for which was conceived by Executive Chef Marco Turatti.

At the end of dinner Bailli Adam Goodman and Inducting Officer Joe Prasobsook Thawilvejjakul presented the hotel’s Food and Beverage Director in the company of the kitchen and service brigades with a Certificate of Appreciation.
